something wicked this way comes

craziness. straight up craziness:

so since we live in a small neighborhood with all the houses real close to each other i think i hear noises all the time next to our window. sam always assures me that its just a car door slamming or something like that and that the sound just carries to our backyard window.

WELL we're just lying in bed last night and the next thing we know we hear a huge noise and shouting right outside the window. sam leaps out of bed and runs for his gun and i begin to dial 911. i was almost paralyzed with fear. i thought someone was going to come right through our window. sam tells me that its ok the cops were already there.

we go to the front window and there are no less than 7 cop cars surrounding our place. sam goes out to find out whats going on while i called my parents. i was so scared i was shaking.

the cops wouldn't tell us much but apparently the guy was running from the cops and jumping fences and they took him down in OUR backyard right outside OUR bedroom window. it was like my greatest fear came true!!!

sam was able to calm me down and my mom stayed on the phone with me. the cops had the guy in custody and eventually went away.

next thing we know my mom, dad, little brother tay show up with the dog and a shot gun. sam and tay surveyed the back yard to make sure everything was ok while i calmed down with my parents.

we are so thankful nothing happened to us.....there are a lot of what ifs in that scenario.

the funny thing is that we live in this sleepy little neighborhood with a lot of older people where the biggest drama is how long you leave your garbage can out.

crazy, right?
