so those ardent blog readers of mine may remember my neighborhood wars when i first moved to my house in Idaho
to sum it up: basically i live in a newly wed, nearly dead neighborhood with lots of cranky old people with too much time on their hands.
people let their dogs poop all over are yard, yell at me for getting in the way of their blind dog, holler at me across the street to give me a lecture, undo do my sprinkler multiple times because they say it gets in the way of their dog walking and generally scowl at us every time they see us.
one feature of my neighborhood is the emails that go out by the HOA president and my arch nemesis: MURI.
if you don't weed well enough: BAM muri sends an evil email to the entire neighborhood singling out YOUR house specifically.
if you don't bring your garbage can in within a certain number of hours: BAM muri sends an email singling out your house
and now we have a new problem: animal feces. i received a HILARIOUS email today from the HOA and apparently some people don't clean it up before the landscapers come (gross i know) so Muri has taken it on as her own personal battle.
Ok, I will admit that that is gross and that people need to clean it up so the landscapers can work. but was is so funny is the way muri gets SO INTO IT and harps on and on.
my favorite bits of the email:
"We went on the internet just to see what info is available regarding the dangers of spreading animal feces throughout a neighborhood and the following is just a small sample of information available:
“How Do Pets Spread Infections?
"Needless to say, this just reinforces the need for animal owners to remove the feces from their backyards prior to landscape maintenance. People who do not own animals should not have to deal with bacteria, etc., being transported to their yards via the contaminated equipment."
"We hope that this will answer the questions that animal owners may have. But if you have further questions, please feel free to write us."
yeah muri. ill be sure to do that.
MURI..... her name is like a expletive in my mind!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a monster! hahah, love the email she sent around- so informative.
